- Where you popular in high school?
I went to my 10 year High School anniversary, and I must say I was shocked by the popular boys and girls from the school days had turned into not so desirable looking individuals with not so great careers and lives. The hot cheerleader, now 200 plus and single mom to 3 working at WalMart..The stud Quarterback, arrested for DUI and now bald and lives with his mom. I was one of the Heavy Metal cigarette smoking leather jacket kids, not exactly popular, but I came out way ahead in life compared to the "in kids" back in my school it seems....Whats your story, were you in the popular crowd?..Be honest. 10 points for most detailed answer!
A I was popular, but we really didnt have "cliques" at my high school. I hung out with the preps, jocks, musicians, goths, otaku, stoners...xD I am in college now, but I am doing quite well for myself. I plan on becoming very wealthy...but obv I can't say much yet except I am majoring in International Business with a double minor in Econ/Japaneseee. I went from dogs being my favorite animals to birds being my favorite animals after taking a liking to feeding pigeons AND THEN finding an injured pigeon on the streets...saving him...taking him to the bird vet only 1 week later, and finding out, "Since you were so kind to this pigeon and he is actually only a few months old...he has become domesticated and can never survive in the wild again. Enjoy!" xD BTW Pigeons are sooo cool :D ~mmm back on topic I plan on studying abroad for my second time all next yr :D and then hopefully one more year or at least 1/2 more year after that :D I will be in a lot of debt, but not as much as a lot of ppl since I am going to a state school xD I guess the weirdest thing for me was how many of my classmates didn't go to college! I grew up in a rather wealthy town (doesnt even let Walmart into our town...lol...people protest whenever the idea comes up) so I assumed everyone would go to college. Quite a few people have gotten married...some even have started having kids! One of my best friends in high school who could have gone to any school for free never even tried past community college a couple semesters...which still bothers me since she is so creative...grrr... I want to become ridiculously wealthy and become one of those stereotypical nutty Californians with too much money to spend...I am already on my way there...I am into The Secret and learning new cultures and stuff, but also into high-end designers/luxury foods lol...I just need to become really wealthy so I can do weird stuff such as create a Fallout amusement park, save tons of animals and live in a mansion with them (like dogs, cats, pigeons (or course), other birds, racoons, deer, etc). Then sponsor tons of children~ Randomly surprise the good-hearted ppl in this world...show some gratitude for those who give and give and give to others <3 Yea :D

- How to not be awkward?
So I am going to a Valentines Dance at the local public school ( I go to a smaller private school ) and I hardly know anyone. I am going to public high school and want to make a good impression on the kids my age so no one hates me next year. One problem: I have been in a tiny artsy school my whole life and I feel like I am really weird compared to the kids at the public school. I don't have issues or anything but I dress different ( dresses, loafers, overalls, old jean jackets etc.) not like freaky but I try to be stylish while everyone else is wearing Abercrombie. I also have different taste in music ( Led Zepplin, Guns and Roses, Violent Femmes, 90's stuff..), different interests ( I play the banjo and go to Theater Camp... I don't play sports except dance..). I am just afraid I won't fit in and everyone will think I'm a weirdo... also I know I'm only 14 but I feel like I don't have an attractive personality to guys ( loud, funny in an absurd way and outgoing) even though my friends say I'm pretty I feel like guys will be afraid of me/think I'm a freak because I'm different. I am NOT trying to sound like one of those people who is fishing for compliments or self- validation but I really need advice on how to act/what to say at this dance/my whole highschool career! I know I might sound normal but where I live everyone is extremely ordinary with Lacrosse being really important and whatnot.... ok help me thank you good bye.
